Moviendo Vidas Foundation

Moviendo Vidas Foundation was born as an initiative of Grupo Panamá Car Rental, S. A. committed to education, opportunity, and the future of Panama.Aware of the positive impact of music on the integral development of children and youth, we promote orchestral music education in socioeconomically challenged areas, providing tools for personal and social growth.

The foundation began in 2017 at the Centro Bilingüe de Formación Integral Nuestra Señora de la Mercedlocated in the district of El Chorrillo with 84 children and 2 teachersWith a strong commitment to generating a greater impact, the program was strengthened with 7 specialized teachers, enabling over 1,000 children to benefit from musical training and orchestral practice.

Thanks to the evolution and effectiveness of the program, musical groups such as the Beginner Orchestra, composed of 40 children aged 6 to 9, and the Children and Youth Orchestra, with 40 members aged 10 to 20, were created. Today, the program also includes choral practice, piano instruction benefiting more than 500 children and youth each year, expanding opportunities for artistic expression and musical development.

Our Programs

We are the Moviendo Vidas Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2017, committed to social transformation through music and the environment. Our programs impact children, adolescents, and youth in vulnerable communities throughout Panama, providing development opportunities and promoting a sustainable future.

Music Education Program

Our music program seeks to improve the quality of life of children and youth through high-quality musical education. Through collective practice, we promote values such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience, always from a perspective of social inclusion, human rights, and cultural diversity. Currently, we serve more than 500 students across our locations, generating a positive impact on their families, communities, and teachers.

Environmental Education Program

We believe in education as a driver of environmental change. That’s why our program promotes ecological awareness and climate action through initiatives such as reforestation and conservation. We have set ourselves the goal of planting 1 million trees trees in Panama, contributing to CO₂ reduction and ecosystem restoration. To date, we have planted more than 37,000 trees, engaging communities, volunteers, and strategic partners in this mission alongside Panama Car Rental, S.A.
